"I am
enclosing pictures of my Kalispel gun case as it was returned
to me by a major airline. My guess is that it got caught
in some type of hydraulic door in order for that much damage
to occur.
"In any case, I had two scoped rifles in the gun case at the time of the
damage. Because of the severe damage to the gun case, I was concerned about whether
the gun barrels were bent or otherwise harmed. I had the guns taken apart and
put on a lathe to measure them, and had two test-fired. Both guns were unharmed,
thanks to the sturdiness of the Kalispel gun case.
"I just wanted to confirm
what you already know - that you produce a very sturdy
gun case."

"Two years ago I purchased a custom rifle from D'Arcy
Echols in Utah. At the time of my purchase he recommended
a Kalispel gun case for traveling and shipping my firearm.
I did not know how important that case would become until
May of this year. Prior to this Spring my Kalispel case had
protected my rifle with only a few scratches on the case
itself (expected, of course). In fact, during that time the
rifle never changed its zero setting.
On my return flight from a recent Spring black bear hunt in Canada, my
case was severely damaged. However, it did not fail and the rifle was not
even visible from the outside of the case. After getting over my shock
and disbelief that a major airline would allow this to happen to baggage
in the current economic climate, I took my rifle to the range and it shot
perfectly with no change in its zero setting. In fact, my Echols Legend
did not have a scratch on it!
I had an even better experience when I contacted Customer Service at
KCL to order a new case. I called and left a message on Memorial Day
and of course you were closed. The next day Jim promptly returned my
call without a second phone call from me. He listened to my story and
then I told him I would need a new case. He said he would get one on
the way to me that day. I am very satisfied with your product and frankly
I still can't imagine how the baggage gorillas managed to damage my case,
but I was even happier to hear that the new one will have even beefier
aluminum.
Please feel free to use my experience with your gun case as an advertisement
for your excellent product.
Sincerely,
Bennie S.
